About Me
Over more than two decades in the financial sector, I have learned one lesson above all others. I began my career on Wall Street as a market maker in equity options, then went on to co-found a hedge fund in Israel, where I served as Chief Investment Officer for twelve years. Across that entire journey, one truth has remained constant: for most people, passive investing in broad-based index ETFs is the simplest and best way to invest.
This approach typically outperforms around 90% of investment professionals over the long term. It is also highly cost-effective, easy to implement, and accessible to anyone willing to take a little time to understand it. That is why I wrote this simple guide: to help the many people who have come to me throughout my career asking for investment advice.
What continues to surprise me is how little most people know about investing, and how few realize how simple and accessible it has become. Within the financial community, the benefits of broad-based passive investing have been well understood for years. Over the past two decades, this insight has transformed the investment industry. Today, a large share of the world’s investable assets is held in broad-based ETFs.
This is the best investment advice I can give to anyone who is not familiar with the investment world.
